ChildAid Update: Second Half of 2025

08 December 2025

We’re excited to share how God is at work through ChildAid!

As you read these stories, we hope you’ll be encouraged by the impact your prayers and support are making and see how our ministry partners are bringing hope and transformation to vulnerable children. Whether you already sponsor a child or are simply exploring what we do, thank you for standing with us. Together, we can help more children access education, care, and the love of Christ.

  • Medical Ambassadors Foundation invites us to thank God with them that:

    • Sponsored children enjoyed a special outing to buy new clothes, share pizza, and take home a food parcel, a real treat for families.
    • June Bible clubs welcomed nearly 150 children for crafts, games, and teaching about Jesus as King.
    • Children received school backpacks and learnt practical health tips.
    • Children and youth enjoyed summer camps in Erseka with Bible teaching, games, and outdoor challenges, and a football discipleship camp.

    Please pray for:

    • Give thanks for the many children who came to VBS in Vloçisht and Vashtemi and heard the Good News. Ask God to grow lasting faith.
    • Pray for MAF’s youth leaders and volunteers as they mentor children through the year. May God strengthen them in discipleship.
  • Give great thanks to God for recent successes at Potter’s House:

    • Older students recently served on a mission trip to Chiquimula, sharing Jesus’ love with 120 children and experiencing life-changing ministry.
    • Children’s Day brought joy through museum visits, games, and fun activities across three regions.
    • Bible Day helped Treasures see Scripture as a source of hope, and trauma workshops brought comfort to those facing grief and loss.
    • A new kitchen now provides daily lunches in Momostenango, improving health and energy for learning, and younger students reached a reading milestone.

    Please pray for:

    • Sponsored children whilst they are on their school holidays until mid-January.
    • Graduates as they plan their next steps, and for all Treasures to grow in faith and resilience during this break.
  • We rejoice in what God is doing through JKPS:

    • Summer camp (pictured above) brought joy and growth for 347 children, blending games, crafts, and Scripture lessons. They built Noah’s Ark models, memorised verses, and learnt teamwork, a time that strengthened faith and confidence.
    • Older students experienced renewal at a youth retreat focused on identity in Christ and overcoming life’s storms. Through worship and teaching, they left encouraged to face challenges with resilience rooted in God’s strength.
    • Children took Bible exams with joy, through writing, songs, and memory verses.

    Please pray for:

    • JKPS’ Christmas celebrations, as children receive gifts and hear the true meaning of Christmas, pray they trust Jesus as Saviour and King.
    • Pray older students seek God’s wisdom for their future.
  • Word of Hope Orphanage invites us to thank God for:

    • God’s protection during four floods this year. All 50 children and staff remained safe and cared for.
    • Older children actively serve in church through choir and social work, learning responsibility, leadership, and faith in action.
    • School success and growth: 15 children earned academic awards, and during holidays they enjoyed extra lessons in music, grammar, and guitar.
    • Special blessings like a bowling outing in September, a rare treat that gave the children laughter, fun, and a sense of normalcy beyond orphanage life.

    Please pray for:

    • Continued spiritual growth for the children as they live out their faith and serve in church through singing, dancing, and choir.
    • Provision for ongoing needs and wisdom for staff as they care for every child.

High Priest Academy - Mary’s Story

Mary, a Junior High student, says:

“The scholarship offered to me to study at High Priest Academy and the free lunch every school day has made a very big difference in my life. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be able to get this kind of education, as both of my siblings were forced to go to the village because my parents couldn’t cater for us here in Accra. I wish to thank Pastor Amponsah and WorldShare for this blessing in my life.”

High Priest Academy doesn’t just provide education, it offers hope. Through scholarships and daily meals, children from vulnerable families can stay in school and thrive. Beyond academics, HPA nurtures faith and character. As Princess shared, “They taught me how to pray and read the Scriptures during our Wednesday worship… these teachings shaped my life to be a virtuous girl.” Samuel adds, “Now I don’t have to worry about going hungry in school and I am able to focus on my education.”

Thanks to your support, children like Mary, Princess, and Samuel are not only learning but growing in confidence and faith.

Introducing the NOFAM App

We are delighted to announce that in the New Year we will be introducing the NOFAM app, a new and secure way for sponsors to connect with the child they support.

This simple tool will help you stay more closely connected and make your sponsorship experience even more meaningful.

The app will launch in the New Year, and we will be in touch with instructions on how to get started when it's ready. In the meantime, if you’d like to register your interest, click the button below and just include your name in the message.
