A Colourful Learning Space
Potter's House opens a new Education Room
We are delighted to share with you that Potter’s House in Guatemala have recently opened a brand-new Education Room in Chiquimula. It is a significant milestone for their Community Centre, as it is the first dedicated classroom they have been able to build there. Previously, Potter’s House staff had been using multipurpose rooms to host tutoring classes and workshops for the children in their Education Programme. With a commitment to serve the children with excellence and God’s guidance, they began the construction of the Education Room to provide a more purposeful learning environment.
The Education Room
This first classroom will welcome the younger students supported by Potter’s House, and they are already working on constructing a second dedicated classroom to host the older students, with the same vision. The impact is already visible - the smiles and excitement from the children during the dedication ceremony were a beautiful testament to the hope this new facility brings. They are so excited to start the 2025 school year in this new space!
Potter’s House staff member Andrea shared the following:
“Thank you for joining us in gratitude for all the amazing things God is doing here! This project is possible through the incredible generosity of many partners and friends who believe in the importance of high-quality education in Guatemala and have contributed their time and resources to make this dream a reality. We pray this area will be a safe, peaceful, and welcoming space where the children feel God’s love and care for them. We also hope that it helps them to develop cognitively, improve their learning skills and enjoy a more positive school experience overall.”
