From the Marketplace to the Classroom
Living Word of Faith Evangelistic Ministries in Ghana, which runs High Priest Academy, recently shared with us a wonderful story that we just had to pass on.
One day, after his routine evangelism in the marketplaces, Pastor Sam (LWOF ministry leader) met a group of children who were selling sachet water. They told him that they really wanted to attend school, but their parents couldn’t afford to pay the fees. Pastor Sam didn’t hesitate and told them to enrol immediately. Their places were funded by scholarships, and they were given three free uniforms, sandals, school bags and writing materials. Praise God!
Two children shared their stories:
“My name is Isabella and I am 12 years old. I want to thank Pastor Sam for helping me off the streets. I had been watching my friends go to school whilst I had to accompany my mother selling sachet water in the marketplace. I told Pastor Sam that I would like to join my friends in school. So he told my mother to go and enrol me the very next day. God bless you Pastor Sam.”
“My name is Joyce and I am 10 years old. I am happy to be in school. I used to stay at home or go to the Dome lorry station to sell biscuits and toffees for my mother, whilst my friends went to school. This was because my mother couldn't pay the fees. I am now going to school for free because Pastor Sam told my mother to bring me without paying anything!”
Give great glory to God with us that these precious children can now have an education, thanks to the wonderful work of our ministry partner and the faithful giving of supporters like you.
Living Word of Faith with High Priest Academy was the first project to be brought under the umbrella of WorldShare’s 10:10 Partner initiative. By giving a monthly donation, you could help to motivate, enable and empower Christian partners around the world to bring life in its fullness (John 10:10) in Jesus' name. Look out for exciting news coming soon of the second project that the regular support of 10:10 Partners will be helping, through Wakisa Ministries in Uganda.
