Christmas Appeal 2024
As Christmas approaches and 2024 draws to a close, we want to highlight some of the achievements that have been made possible through the hard work of the WorldShare staff team here in the UK and the generosity of our supporters. We also want to ask if you would give a special Christmas gift to help this to continue and grow next year.
Together we have:
- Supplied winter clothing to over 400 children affected by the earthquake in Turkey
- Fed and educated over 180 children globally through ChildAid
- Installed a well and strengthened food security & community projects in Haiti
- Provided a reliable electricity supply for Word of Hope Church in Myanmar
- Equipped a computer suite at High Priest Academy in Ghana
- Supported Christian Mission to Gaza in providing 20,000 hot meals amidst conflict
- Sponsored six Bible college students in Myanmar
- Raised £11,500 so far to equip a new maternity centre in Uganda
- Installed two wells with hand pumps, providing clean drinking water in rural India
- Funded psychological & social support for 50 Ukrainian refugees in Moldova
Winter clothing in Turkey
Well installation in Haiti
Generator in Myanmar
Computer suite in Ghana
Food distribution in Gaza
Hand pump in India
To achieve all this (and more) for our ministry partners and the communities they serve, we must continue to run WorldShare legally, efficiently and effectively, and the costs of doing so are constantly rising. Whether it be staff costs, office overheads, fundraising & marketing costs or other expenses associated with running the charity, they are all vital in ensuring we remain good stewards and support our ministry partners & supporters in the best way we possibly can.
We know that ‘God will meet all our needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus’ (Philippians 4:19) and that He does this through the generosity of His people.
In this season of generosity, would you give a gift today to support the work of WorldShare, here in the UK, so that the work that we enable overseas can continue and grow in 2025?
