Who is WorldShare?

WorldShare is a dynamic UK-based Christian charity which exists to empower, motivate and equip Christian partners overseas to reach those who are vulnerable, excluded or marginalised in their own countries and communities. Each of these partners work in one or more of the following six areas: Community, Education, Evangelism, Health, Relief & Tackling Injustice.

How and when does WorldShare provide relief?

Over the years, WorldShare has provided relief for communities following the devastation caused by earthquakes, cyclones, hurricanes, volcanoes and severe flooding. WorldShare will only respond to an emergency or disaster when it has a ministry partner or other trusted Christian relief organisation on the ground.

Right now, WorldShare is supporting ongoing disaster relief work in Turkey through several Christian partner organisations, bringing hope. Many of the victims of February’s earthquake in Turkey are living in container cities, tents or other shelters. They have lost everything and they need your help.

What is Cup of Hope?

Quite simply, Cup of Hope is an easy way for your customers to support those still suffering in Turkey this winter. Donations from your customers will help keep children and their families warm and safe during the harsh winter by providing winter coats, wellies and winter clothing.

How does Cup of Hope work in a coffee shop setting?

By offering your customers the opportunity to give a donation of £3 (equivalent to the cost of a cup of coffee – a Cup of Hope), you are helping WorldShare in its efforts to send relief to those still suffering in Turkey this winter. Each £3 card donation would ideally be taken as a product sale through the till and then the total amount paid into WorldShare’s bank account as a lump sum at the end of the promotion. Alternatively, cash donations can be made by having a counter top Cup of Hope collection tin.

When is the initiative running?

WorldShare’s Christmas Cup of Hope Coffee Shop Initiative will run throughout the month of December. It’s up to you whether you run it for a week, two weeks, or the entire month. All we ask is that you promote it for a minimum of one week in your coffee shop.

What promotional materials can we provide?

WorldShare can provide you with the following promotional materials to help you communicate and promote the Cup of Hope initiative to your customers.

A frame poster
A2 waterproof poster
Counter Top Banner2
A4 table-top banner
Coffee shop flyer2
Promotional postcards
Coffee Dusters

In addition we’ll initiate a focused Facebook ad campaign guiding customers to your coffee shop.
