Grace Christian School

The Grace Christian School is an independent school set up and run by the local Christian ministry, Hope for Africa, in the town of Siyabuswa, South Africa.

Grace Christian School was first established in 2003 to provide a Christian-based education for local children in a deprived area, with many pupils sponsored or on reduced fees to enable attendance, and it has grown into a school for more than 650 children up to the stage of enrolment for university. WorldShare has previously supported this ministry for many years.

Its current project has the aim of constructing and equipping a kitchen and hall where lunches and cookery lessons can be provided for the pupils, as well as hospitality training for unemployed adults. Many pupils have inadequate lunches, or none at all at present. The building has been completed and is in use for assemblies and cultural activities, but we still need to provide the kitchen equipment, so any donations made here will go towards that. Thank you for supporting this venture, which will enable the pupils to have a nourishing lunch each day.
