Alan Butler

Chief Executive

Alan joined WorldShare in 2016. He trained as a Civil Engineer and worked both in the UK and overseas; 12 years of this was in Nepal on hydropower development working both with a mission agency and as a tent-maker. Mission has been a big part of Alan’s life and he is passionate about seeing lives change as people respond to the Christian Gospel. Alan is married to Julia and has three daughters. They are based in Sheffield and are part of an active and vibrant local Anglican church.


Jenny Hunt

Finance Manager

Jenny is a qualified accountant, who first joined WorldShare on a voluntary basis working alongside the Finance Manager, moving on to work in an accountancy practice specialising in auditing and producing accounts for charity and not for profit organisations. She returned to WorldShare to take on the role as Finance Manager in 2013. She is married to Richard, who also periodically volunteers for WorldShare, and has four children.


Clare Hill

Administration & ChildAid Officer

Clare studied secretarial and business studies at college, before joining WorldShare at the age of 18. As the longest serving member of the staff team, she has been involved in most parts the organisation. Clare currently administers our child sponsorship programme (ChildAid), as well as providing support for Jenny in general finance. She is married with two children and invests a lot of time in family life. Clare served for 6 years as her local church secretary.

Vanessa correct

Vanessa Riley

Fundraising Specialist

Vanessa has worked in the charity sector since 2003, mainly in fundraising roles for Christian mission organisations, but also in secular charities specialising in education, healthcare & disability sport. She is passionate about building relationships that will strengthen WorldShare and its ministry partners to reach the world’s neediest places with the love of Jesus. Vanessa is married to Chris and they have 2 daughters. Based in Nottingham, they are actively involved in church life at Trent Vineyard.


Emily Hobbs

Marketing and Communications Assistant

Emily studied French and Hispanic studies at university and after spending one year serving full time in her local church, she joined WorldShare in 2019. Her love for mission grew whilst living and working in Ecuador as part of her degree, where she enjoyed sharing the gospel message with children with disabilities. Emily is married to Matt, they have a son, and they live in Doncaster.

Harriet Web

Harriet Robson

Marketing Communications Specialist 

Harriet joined WorldShare in 2021, following being part of a number of different international charity communication and fundraising teams. She is passionate about using story led communications to demonstrate impact and share the love of Jesus. Harriet is originally from Oxfordshire, but has now ventured North and is based in York with her husband Matt.

Kevin McKemey

Kevin McKemey

Chair of Trustees

Kevin has been on the WorldShare board since 2005. Kevin grew up in East Africa and has worked over the years with a number of missionary organisations including Tearfund and World Relief. Kevin now works as an independent consultant and researcher specialising in disaster management. This has led to involvement in many of the major disasters around the world. Kevin and his wife Denise live in Eynsham, a small village just to the west of Oxford and worship at St Leonard’s, the local parish church.

John Bunce

John Bunce

John joined the WorldShare board in June 2017. John has been involved in Education for 35 years and was Vice Principal in a large South Yorkshire Academy for 10 years. Currently, John is involved in setting up schools links overseas in South Africa, Romania and Zambia. He is also the Director of ‘Up Mountains’, working with two drug and alcohol rehab centres in Loughborough. John is married with four children and is a worship leader at his local church.

Anthony Fisher

Anthony Fisher

Anthony joined the WorldShare board in September 2017 after a career in Health Service Management for around 40 years. He has visited Romania many times over the last 25 years to develop and support partnerships with churches. Anthony has been actively involved in church life and gospel-centred ministry since his early teens. He is married to Cecilia and they have two children and seven grandchildren.

Matt Forsyth

Matt works for a Christian relief and development charity as their churches and volunteer officer for London and South East. He has a background in church ministry and fundraising. Matt is active in his local church circuit as a local preacher and is passionate about social justice and the world church. Matt and his wife Amy have two girls and a mad cockapoo. 

Peter web

Peter Summerside

Peter joined the Board of Trustees in late 2020.  He worked for Worldshare from 1988 to 1994.  Most of his career has been in construction project management and he currently works for Arcadis, an international property and construction consultancy. He is a Chartered Builder and Chartered Company Secretary.  He has been involved in various capacities for several charitable organisations specialising in regeneration, mission and homelessness.  Peter is based in Northamptonshire, is married to Cathy and has two grown up children.

Zoltan Web

Zoltan Biro

Zoltan is a Baptist minister in Eynsham, Oxfordshire. He grew up and started his ministry among the Hungarian population in Transylvania (Romania). In 2005 he came over to England, first to study and later he settled into ministry. Zoltan recently successfully finished his doctoral studies about group dynamics in religious contexts. Zoltan is married to Marta and together they have three children.

Victoria Balasubramanian

Victoria has many years of academic experience, and is currently working as a lecturer in health and social care. She joined the WorldShare board in 2021 and is passionate about taking the Gospel to all nations of the world, and using her skills to help communities develop across the world in order for them to enjoy the goodness of the Lord Jesus Christ and bring glory to God.
