Dear WorldShare supporters,
With the current uncertainty around Covid-19, we, as Christians, have the opportunity to love and support others and pray for wisdom and discernment at this difficult time.
On behalf of WorldShare, I want to thank you for your support for our ministry partners around the world, many of whom are serving their communities without the resources that we can so easily take for granted.
One example is the HEAL Africa hospital in Goma (Democratic Republic of Congo) whose CEO, Dr Justin Paluku, said in an email on Monday, "We don’t have all the means to deal with a critical situation like what is happening in other cities affected by Covid-19. We have around 3 oxygen concentrators at the hospital. So, if we have a big number of patients who require oxygen (like it is the case for patients affected by Covid-19), we don’t know if we could handle the situation. We are just praying that such chaos does not happen to us here."
As a UK office, in accordance with recent advice from the Government, we are moving to homeworking which means that our Easter Appeal will not be sent out as planned in a few weeks‘ time and events are being cancelled. We are conscious however that we still need financial resources to be able to respond to our ministry partners on a ’where the need is greatest' basis as they continue to serve their communities during this crisis. If you are able to give at this time, we would very much appreciate your support.
Please do continue to contact us via our email firstname.lastname@example.org or using our phone number 01302 775209, which will be diverted to a member of our team. We will endeavour to keep you updated via our website and by email. If you have not already signed up to receive email correspondence from us, you can do so at the bottom of this page. You can also sign up to receive our Prayer Calendar by email here.
Yours in Christ,
