Myanmar is one of the world’s most impoverished and isolated countries where Christians face adversity and persecution – over 3,000 Christian villages have been burned in the last decade.

Our partner ministry Word of Hope are tackling perception and barriers to bring more people to Jesus through their church planting, outreach and bible college.

Hope Bible College

Hope Bible College trains and sends out over 30 students each year with the long-term aim of growing the church in Myanmar. Students committed to serving God come to Hope Bible College from all over the country. During their time studying, Word of Hope train and equip the students to become servants of God, future church leaders and dedicated workers for the Kingdom of God.

Each year, new graduates return to their home provinces, where there is often no Christian church presence. Within their own communities, they serve God, evangelise and plant new churches. The aim is that each one of them becomes the future leaders within their society.

Ma Thang

“Since I got the calling of God, I want to be an effective pastor in my province after finishing my studies. I want to evangelise unbelievers and if there is a need, to plant new churches in the province.”
