Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge

Cancelled

*Unfortunately this event has been cancelled*

Due to current circumstances, WorldShare and Up Mountains have decided to cancel the June 2020 Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge. However, we will be looking to reorganise the event in 2021. Thank you so much to those who signed up to take part.

Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge June 2020

We invite you to join us in taking on the famous Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge and fundraise for WorldShare in the process.

When: Friday 19th June (17:00) till Sunday 21st June (11:00)

The challenge will cover 25 miles in under 12 hours, summiting Penny Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. It is being run by Up Mountains which was founded by John and Lizzie Bunce in 2015 and delivers unique and bespoke adventure packages. John is also a WorldShare trustee and will be leading the event. He is a qualified mountain leader; outdoor first aid trained and has led many hundreds of people to successfully complete this challenge – so you’re in safe hands!

The cost of registration is £60 which includes two nights' accommodation at Gearstone Lodge, a comprehensive route card, manned checkpoints and support vehicles. Gearstones provides good basic comfortable accommodation in small dormitory style rooms (separate rooms for men and women). Food provided includes breakfast, packed lunch and an evening meal on the Saturday evening. If you would like to join us but don’t want to stay overnight or wish to only stay one night, that’s absolutely fine, just contact Up Mountains at upmountains@icloud.com. It would be great to have you with us.

When you register, we will email you information about fundraising so you can get cracking straight away! There is no minimum fundraising target, just raise whatever sponsorship you can. We will also send you kit lists and specific event details such as timings and meeting points.

Please pass on details to any family, friends or church members who may be interested in this challenge. If you can’t take part in the event but would like to support those who can, please keep them in your prayers throughout the weekend and donate. All funds raised will go to WorldShare’s ministry partners where the need is greatest.
