Daily life for the people of Zimbabwe has become a fight for survival.

The economic crisis in Zimbabwe has recently escalated even further due to the political situation of the country, causing the unemployment rate to rise to 95%. The price of food has increased to exorbitant levels and most people have been purchasing food from neighbouring South Africa. This was recently banned, so families are now left starving and wondering where their next meal will come from.
The corruption of government systems has caused a breakdown of basic infrastructure across most of the country. Several areas no longer have access to electricity or running water, leaving families relying on dirty water from unprotected wells.
Hospital facilities are also barely functional, and many people have no access to even basic medical treatment. Those that can afford it, travel to South Africa for medical care, but this is the minority.
Most children are now out of school because their parents can’t afford the school fees charged by the government. Education for those that do make it is no longer as effective, because the teachers are paid so little and often paid late.

Our Plan

Our partner ministry, Hope for Africa Missions (HfAM) are running a project next month called Mission Love Zimbabwe. Their team will be based out of one of the HfAM Zimbabwe church plants and they will be distributing food supplies, gas, clothing and rechargeable lighting. They will also give out books and school bags for the children as well as provide prayer support for the families. Hope for Africa own a portion of land in Zimbabwe where they plan to build a school and a pre-school. Parts of the land will also be used for agricultural projects and provision of seed for different crops will kick-start local agricultural programmes.
HfAM will also supply brick-making machines so that people can make bricks and complete building projects to sell. These sustainability projects aim to help the community and the school to become self-sufficient.

We need your support to provide help and hope for as many people as possible during the Mission Love Zimbabwe project.
