Our child sponsorship programme aims to bring the hope of the Gospel, practical help and education to a vulnerable and needy child.

Audel’s parents are Irma and Anselmo. His Mum sells chicken and his Dad works as a security guard. He has one younger sister; Elida. He lives with his parents, sister, uncles, aunts and cousins in a house made of concrete roof, granite floor and cinder block walls. They live surrounding the garbage dump in Guatemala City.
Audel’s favourite subject in school is math. His favourite food is chicken soup and his favourite colour is orange. His favourite animals are dogs.
This is Audel’s second year at Potter’s House. What he likes the most about coming is that he learns new things every day.
Can you sponsor Yan Go in Myanmar?Sponsor Yan Go Mang
Yan Go lives in the the Word of Hope Orphanage in Myanmar. His father has passed away and his mother couldn’t look after him. He comes from Chin State and likes to play football and would like to be a policeman when he grows up.
The Children’s Home provides the best possible care with limited resources, in a Christian environment. Medical checks are provided, and Word of Hope plan to increase educational opportunities for the children as part of future expansion.
What is ChildAid?
ChildAid works through a number of unique partners including Christian schools and orphanages, to help children learn to read, feed them nourishing meals, provide clothing, tuition, uniforms, school supplies, and above all else, offer a child the opportunity to hear about a new life in Jesus. Sponsorship is available to children on the basis of need, regardless of age, faith, gender or ability. ChildAid sponsors meet the physical and spiritual needs of children through our ministry partners, helping them achieve their God-given potential.
How much per month does it cost to sponsor a child?
The cost per child is £20 per month, payable through direct debit, cheque or credit card.
Where does the money go?
Sponsorship money is sent to the ministry and is used for the benefit of the children, to ensure the money is not misused.
How long is my commitment?
You are free to end your sponsorship at any time by letting us know, and in those cases the child is sponsored from the general fund until a new sponsor is found for them.
Can I send gifts/visit my sponsored child?
We welcome cash gifts for Children at Christmas or Birthdays, which we recommend be no more than £20 per child. WorldShare is not able to arrange trips for you, although if you travel to a location where your child lives we will ask our partners to arrange a meeting for you.
What contact can I have with my sponsored child?
We aim to provide at least two letters per year from your child, one of which will be a Christmas greeting. You can write to your child at anytime (not including personal details.)
"The experience I’ve had as a child sponsor has been amazing and without WorldShare it wouldn’t have happened. The relationship we’ve got is really lovely and I’m moved by the letters and beautiful cards she has sent me over the years. It’s amazing to know that you’re making a difference to their whole future."
